What do you find challenging about coding?
Sometimes the most challenging part of coding is actually sitting down and starting. I have trouble sometimes just getting back onto my computer after running into an issue.
I also find finding and fixing bugs to be very challenging sometimes.
Talk about a project that disappointed you. What would you change?
I am a little disappointed in my capstone app right now. I feel like I have done a good enough job as I stand. But I know that I need to do a lot more thinking, and work. I want it to be impressive and as it stands now, I don’t find it to be all that special. But I plan to change that. I have a few features that will make it a lot cooler. But I also plan to make the foundation of the app much more functional and robust. That will take a lot of thought, planning and organization.
List three key things to consider when coding with SEO in mind.
One would be to have title and meta tags in your HTML pages.
Load times and functional code.
Finally accessibility for visually impaired people.
List five or more ways you could optimize a website to be as efficient and scalable as possible.
The first way would be to start your app with scalability in mind. That way all code written will be written with that purpose.
Next would be to eliminate redundant procedures. Like SQL calls that acquire much more information than needed. Of repeats calls.
Organization of the data will be very different if you plan to be unaware of how much it will be used.
Horizontal scaling is important. This is scaling the amount of non code resources your app has. Like multiple databases/servers for your backend code to be running on.
Reducing logic on the server side is very important as well.
